FIRST LOVE EXCITEMENT

Is your Christian faith exciting to you? Or has it become boring like putting on your socks in the morning? You know it shouldn't be that way. Our Christian faith should put a smile on our face, give us an invincible spirit, and a confident hope that will not fade.

How can we get that fresh "first love" excitement back in our Christian lives? By becoming aware of the devastating consequences sin causes to our relationship with God, by becoming aware of our immediate need for forgiveness, by recognizing that only God can help, and that He has helped us by having His one and only Son to be made sin for us who knew no sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

Each morning we should be thrilled that we have been redeemed, that we are God's children through faith in Christ, that our life has purpose and hope. Then our Christian faith will be exciting and worth sharing.

Redeemer Member Spotlight

Glen and Dianne Davis

Glen was born in 1932 in Springfield, IL and graduated from Ann Arbor High School in 1949. He was drafted into the 4th Armored Calvary of the U.S. Army and served in Austria. After the army, Glen attended Electronic Trade School in Detroit, MI. He worked for the Aerospace Division of the Bendix Corporation and then for the University of Michigan’s Willow Run Laboratories. He eventually started his own business specializing in recruitment.

Dianne Priester was born in 1934 in Grosse Pointe City. She graduated from South Lake High in 1952 and studied law enforcement at Michigan State University where she graduated in 1956. She also obtained a master’s degree from EMU in 1977. Dianne worked for the Ann Arbor Police Department including positions as a probation officer, prosecutor investigator and friend of the court enforcement officer. She is a retired Washtenaw County sheriff detective.

Glen and Dianne met in 1956 and married in 1957. They were blessed with three children, Carrie, Glen Jr. and Owen and 9 grandchildren. They are currently awaiting the birth of a great grandchild. They call Clinton, MI home and are very active in their local library, historical society and Village of Clinton Council.

Glen enjoys our local sports teams including the University of Michigan athletics. In addition, both Glen and Dianne cheer for Dianne’s alma mater, MSU. Glen also is an avid reader with keen interest in bible study and history.

Glen and Dianne joined Redeemer Lutheran Church in 1965. They have been very active in the church ever since, serving in various offices and committees. They particularly enjoy our bible classes and coffee hours and enjoy the interaction with the students of our Campus Ministry. They have been an integral part of our “Church Family”.
