Friends passed by his casket viewing the late sky diver who had plunged to his death. He had been excited about his 200th jump, but now he was dead. There was no church service. There were no comforting words for the survivors. And, of course, it was too late for words of spiritual hope for the sky diver.
No one had the courage to ask what his destiny was. The empty hope of many is that there is a second chance. But God makes it very clear that "man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment."
Many had the opportunity to share a living Savior with the sky diver, but they delayed waiting for a better time. How often haven't you and I had the opportunity to share the hope of eternal life through faith in Christ Jesus, but we didn't?
We never will want to pass by a person's casket and say, "I should have." Because then it will be too late.
